Poverty in the UK

In 2023 over 600,000 more people fell into absolute poverty, of which over half were children.

The total number of people in the UK experiencing poverty today stands at 14.4 million, 22% of the UK population.

Existing organisations are struggling to meet the rising demand, as people make tough decisions to heat their homes or feed themselves.

Our Mission

Our mission at Halpin Hand is to combat poverty by providing essential resources and support for those in need, fostering hope and building stronger communities.

Our founder Tom has been doing this independently for the last 5 years, working closely with his local foodbank. More details of which can be found on the Our Work page.
